8-8-11 August, B'day month.

I have always believed in the midnight B'day theory. I would stay up till 12 and wait for my family and friends to wish me on the eve of my B'day.  One might wonder y a midnight B'day theory..  It built up a lot of anticipation and gave us an excuse to just stay up late as kids.  Although it only started at the age of 14 with just close friends it then became the norm in our household.  My parents have always stayed up till 12 to wish me and my sis on our b'days..  I am happy to follow this tradition and will pass it own to generations that follow.  I got Rens hooked on it, although it took him quite a few years to find normalcy in this tradition.  The tradition was kept on last night.  Even my 15 month old niece, Aariana who should have been sleeping was up to wish me.  That was nearly a coincidence as she has been sleeping pretty late these days.  

B'day wish

1. To do atleast a  40 mile bike ride 
2. Spend time with friends and family    

I am hoping I can get to do all of them this coming weekend.

Last night was alot of fun.  I got to celebrate my B'day in the city this year as a localite.  Rens showered me with flowers and dinner.  Don't have to worry about driving back home :)    

I am very happy and lucky to share my B'day with loved ones.  I am guessing the celebration continues this weekend with family and friends.  I think?   Will find out...   

Bye bye suburban living hello urban living!

It's been almost a month since we moved to Boston.  I am finally living the dream of moving into Boston and enjoying every bit of it.  We got to see the 4th of July fire crackers from our apartment window with the Prudential building in the background.

I am blogging!!!

Finally!!! 30 is the new 20.  New era new beginnings..  Celebrated our first anniversary last Sunday, September 19, 2010.  It was awesome.  Rens really knows how to surprise me... A wonderful bouquet of flowers...breakfast by Chef Rens.. and a wonderful dinner at Upstairs by the Square in Cambridge.  And I kept up my part of the bargain by doing dishes, making some chai... a card as promised (1st Year <=> Paper anniversary), cuff-lings and a donation to Rens's million $ fund :)
Getting ready for tomorrow... This weekend was a lot of fun.  Really enjoyed the movie Up...It really made me think of the people around me and to actually live in the moment!! Rens if u are reading this I am so going to try doing that all the time.  2012 was an interesting movie.  I wonder what would happen on December 21st of 2012.  I guess we just need to wait and find out... until then...  Living in the moment...
